Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the property category, 8 or 11 dirhams per people per night. That tax is collected by the properties and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 15 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night.

Dar Warda, or the “Home of the Rose", is nestled at the end of a charming pathway in a historical corner of the medina. Visitors cannot help but fall under the spell of this enchanting riad that is tastefully and elegantly decorated. Quality hand made fabrics, Berber rugs, contemporary furnishings inspired by the Massai style and oriental artworks are displayed throughout the residence.
Everywhere one looks is proof of the efforts that went into this successful renovation. The goal of which was to provide visitors with a beautiful and authentic lieu re-created through the “know how” of local artists and the use of traditional and noble Moroccan materials.
Comprised of four beautifully decorated rooms and suites, the Dar Ward is ideal as a private rental for families and small groups of friends. Individual travelers seeking a calm and elegant oasis in the midst of the medina will also be pleased with the quality and coziness of the accommodation.
A rose and ochre colored patio redone in tadelakt serves as the heart of the dar and boasts a beautiful fountain. The central patio is surrounded by a “bhou”, an open summer salon, library, and a dining room. Two corner salons are located on the “mid level” of the riad, one of which has a fireplace.
The rooftop terrace has been constructed on several different levels and guests can enjoy the solarium, relax on the sun lounging chairs, savor a mint tea under the shade on comfortable sofas, or just take in the magnificent views of the Atlas Mountains and the Marrakech Medina.
Guests are welcomed with pastries, fresh flowers and air conditioned rooms. Serenity is the theme at the Dar Warda where guests feel instantly at home. Breakfast is different each morning and can be taken wherever you wish. Lunch and dinner are available and the menu changes daily. You will appreciate the excellent traditional Moroccan cuisine prepared with attention to subtle flavors.
Located in the Riad Laarouss neighborhood, your stay is sure to be calm and serene. The situation of the riad provides easy access to guests and there is a guarded parking located only 50 meters from the establishment.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY
If clients wish to pay their room charges with a credit card they will be subject to a 4.5% service fee. This service fee does not apply to the 15% guarantee deposit paid at the time of booking and is only applicable to credit card payments made directly to the property.
Cancellation Policy :
Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.
Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card supplied during the reservation process.
