Nestled at the far end of a quiet narrow street in the serenity of the Medina in Marrakesh, this authentic and peaceful residence has been restored with craftsmanship to maintain the essential origins of its charm.
Completely renovated in 2001, this traditional Moroccan home is situated in the colorful and bustling quarter of Bab Taghzout in the heart of the historical center of Marrakech. Guests can walk (15 min)or take a direct bus to the famous "place Djema El Fna", a taxi station is only 100 yards awqy, "the Zaouïa Sidi Bel Abbès" on your doorstep and the renowned Médersa Ben Youssef within walking distance. These assets make Dar Zouar an ideally situated guesthouse in a part of Marrakesh that is user-friendly and practical for all visitors.
The Calm and serenity of this guesthouse is one its strong points. Your afternoon nap will only be slightly distracted by the charming singing of the birds or by the harmonious calls for prayers coming from the muezzins of the Imperial City.
Thierry Dugast, Dar Zouar's proprietor, has been living in Morocco for over 20 years so it's needless to stay that he knows the country particularly well. Together with his team of skilled local employees, this French man from Brittany will give you a pleasant and convivial welcome.
CHILDREN
Because of the house's traditional architecture Dar Zouar is possibly dangerous for young children. Children are welcome from 10 years old.

| The location of this riad is a little out of the centre of the medina, which makes it, once you enter the establishment, into a little oasis of tranquility. Very helpfull staff and owner. | ||

| We loved Dar Zouar - it's about a twenty minute walk to the big square, and we liked being in an area where normal life was going on around us, rather than just being geared up for tourists. Thierry and his staff were kind and helpful - we would go there again. | ||
