Both graduated in foreign languages and after selling French wines –their other passion– for the past ten years, Nadège & Emmanuel felt in love with the Red City.

Today, they invite you to come and relax in a genuine and soothing atmosphere, in the very heart of the Marrakesh Medina. The highly spiritual vicinity of Sidi Bel Abbes, yet to be discovered, will surprise you with its quietness and serenity.

After your daily walking and hiking through the maze of the souks, you will be delighted to push the doors of the riad to forget the rumours of the city, under the spell of the fragrances unveiled from the patio (courtyard), with the song of fresh streaming water from the fountain and the serenade of the birds as a musical background...

In a unique atmosphere, distinctive of the riads, your guests will set their hearts on sharing their love of Marrakesh and its unlimited treasures. Far from the concepts of the chain hotel business, you will benefit from a personalised and thoughtful service, though unobtrusive. The riad has been renovated in order to work out private areas in most of the rooms, as well as on the terrace or in the patio for your quietness. With that same philosophy in mind, at Dar Ma Ward all the renovating elements have been selected to offer a stylish comfort with full amenities, while fully respecting Moroccan traditions and craftsmanship (be it tadelakt, bejmat, plaster, cedar, dome, moucharabieh, the tree-planted patio with fountain or the bhou) thanks to the precious help of the best craftsmen (mââlems).

CHILDREN
Staying at a riad is quite a special experience. Your hosts have made it their duty to uphold a Zen and restful atmosphere, respecting Muslim traditions. Each and everybody is welcomed with open arms at Dar Ma Ward.
We should point out that the house’s traditional architecture may be dangerous for very young children: the swimming pool and its surroundings are not watched and the house is not fitted out like a large hotel. The old furniture and decorative objects were carefully hunted down and are therefore costly to replace. Children are welcome in so far as parents accept all responsibility for their safety and any damage they might cause.

Zefrane, named after the saffron-coloured shower room. The master piece of this room is its moucharabieh (or cedarwood bow-window) which brings in a lot of sunlight. This bedroom has the specificity to be convertible as a twin for children or friends.

Qerfa Junior Suite, named after its cinnamon-coloured shower room. Its has a lot of assets: a private sitting area (which can be turned into a bed for a child) with a open-sky pyramid, a fireplace, a wide shower with a sitting space. Khozema Suite, named after its lavender-coloured bath room. This suite is the biggest room of the house and can fit in a couple and a child. Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the property category, 8 or 11 dirhams per people per night. That tax is collected by the properties and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 15 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Booking policy :
- For every booking of 2 rooms or more, or for 5 nights or more, as well as for Christmas - New Year's Eve period, 30% of the total amount of the reservation must be paid to the riad owners, 30 days before the check in, by bank transfer.

Cancellation policy:
In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Dar Ma Ward will apply the following cancellation policy and will charge any applicable fees to the client credit card used during the reservation process :
- Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
- Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
- Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.

- Every cancellation of a booking for Christmas - New Year's Eve period, made less than 30 days before the stay, is subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.

Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card supplied during the reservation process.
