In Marrakesh, in the heart of the Medina ( the oldest part of the city ), Thierry and Hassan will welcome you at Riad Tibibt, a genuine dar restored by Thierry, an interior decorator from Bordeaux.

The dar is a traditional house opening onto an inner garden ( a riad ) which houses an old orange-tree laden with fruit.

In this genuine Moroccan dwelling, the lounge offers its guests cosy cushions by the fireside. The five air-conditioned bedrooms look onto the riad whose fountain ( the bou ) will cool you down on hot summer days. The sunny roof garden is the ideal place for lavish breakfasts among the colourful bougainvillaea, hibiscus and other sun-loving flowers.

You will enjoy the busy Mokef area, the historical district of the city, not far from the Youssef Mosque and the Marrakesh Museum.

After a ten-minute walk from the well-known Jemaa El Fna Square, you will treat yourself to a well-deserved rest in the shade of the hundred-old orange-tree, smelling the fragrant daturas, or cooling off in the cascading water of the bou.

Antiques and curios add the finishing touch to the five well-decorated rooms.

Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the property category, 8 or 11 dirhams per people per night. That tax is collected by the properties and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 15 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of a reservation cancellation, the Riad Tibibt will apply the following cancellation policy and will charge any applicable fees to the client credit card used during the reservation process :
-Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
-Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.

Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card supplied during the reservation process.
