The Marrakech airport is 5 km (about 3 miles) south of Marrakech. There is no shuttle between the airport and city and visitors have the choice between a taxi and bus.
Riad owners will arrange airport transfers for guests. Contact the riad at least 3-4 days in advance to arrange pick up service. Transfers are not included in room rates unless otherwise stated.
The bus number is 11, and the stop is located 800 meters from the airport. Buses run approximately every 20-30 minutes to the Plaza Jemaa el-Fna (buses are rare on weekends and often crowded on Sundays).
If you opt for a taxi you should negotiate the price or ask the driver to start the meter. The fare is usually between 60 and 80 DH (6 – 8 €) to the city center or about 150 DH (15€) to the Palmeraie.
