The nightlife in Fez is much more calm than you will find in Marrakech. In this aspect, the city remains true to its traditions. This being said, there are several great and lively dance clubs and bars that tourists and the young Fassie generation frequent.

The majority of the nightclubs in Fez are situated in the large hotels and dont get started until around midnight. As in Marrakech, you should expect to pay a cover charge . Most of the clubs are open day, except for Monday, from 22h30.

For the most part the bars in Fez are frequented only by men and the ambiance is not very welcoming to women. However, the bars in the large hotels are used to welcoming women.
