Restaurants are numerous in Essaouira and if you are a seafood lover you will be in heaven! Freshly grilled seafood is sold by vendors at the port once the fishing boats return from their day at sea. Choose your stand carefully though as the sellers are not controlled and their attention to hygiene may not be what you are used to. Dating back to the 18th century this riad is beautifully decorated. You can dine on the patio lit up by candelabras or in one of the interior dining rooms depending on your mood. Gnaoua musicians usually provide entertainment on Saturday evenings. They accept credit cards.

One of our favorites, this restaurant has a great ambiance and the atmosphere is excellent. You can dine in a Moroccan salon or in a cozy room with exposed stone walls and arches. Italian and Moroccan specialities, the servings are generous.
